The Bainbridge Island City Council voted on Tuesday, May 2 to move forward with investigating a site on New Brooklyn for a new Police and Municipal Court Building. This decision came after reviewing the analysis for six potential sites that had been completed by Coates Design, and hearing public comment from an Open House that occurred on April 12. My father once told me, “A flexible man does not break.” Easier said than done. My first design job was a barn project for a family member. I didn’t know what I was doing but I was overjoyed because the contractor hired to build the barn allowed me to generate the design. Coates Design Architects Celebrates 10 Years

Party goers dressed in gowns and tuxes were greeted with champagne in a Cirque De Glace’ winter wonder land complete with aerial acts, ballerinas, stilt walkers, contortionists, falling snow flakes and rolling fog. Illuminated ice luges dispensed refreshments while guests lined up to receive exquisite watercolors on faces and limbs. One of the evening’s highlights was the dramatic appearance of a 45 pound python with its handler, who made the rounds for photo opportunities with guests and entertainers. Read more ›
